One of the best places to visit with kids is Klyde Warren Park. The brand-new 6,000-square-foot children’s area opened in November 2022. It has a climbing wall and a shaded pavilion that is perfect for parties and group hangouts.

I visited the GeO-Deck at 7 p.m., and the city was surprisingly calm and quiet. The views of Dallas from up there were simply breathtaking.

Honest advice: Adult tickets start at $19. My advice is to go up during golden hour first. Then head straight to Crown Block for dinner and watch the sunset over the city. 

10. Sweet Tooth Dallas 

Do not let the name fool you. Sweet Tooth Hotel is not actually a hotel. It is one of the most unique and best things to do in Dallas on the weekend, and honestly, you’ll never regret it. 

Think neon disco garden meets edgy modern art gallery. There are 9 different exhibition rooms, each feeling like stepping into a completely fresh and vibrant world. Every room has its own personality and something totally unexpected to say. The staff is brilliant too. They happily walk you through the concepts behind each exhibit, which honestly makes the whole experience even richer.

Then there is the Calirosa Cocktail Lounge. The bar staff here are incredibly creative. My personal favorite was the Bubble Ducky. A pink tequila cocktail served inside a tiny bath with a little rubber duck floating on top. I mean, how could you not love that? 

11. Highland Park Village

I am not usually a big shopper when I travel. But Highland Park Village in North Dallas completely changed that. This stylish destination is honestly one of the best things to do in Dallas Texas for couples and groups alike.

It is polished, fun, and surprisingly easy to spend a whole day here. You can expect world-class shopping and sophisticated dining, a combination you’ll find rarely. 

Sadelle’s is what pulled me in completely. A famous New York export with the most gorgeous interior I have seen in Dallas. Sleek pink and blue booths, Art Deco gold details, and a deli-style all-day menu that feels straight out of a movie set

One of the best things to do in Dallas is to visit  AT&T Discovery District. It is an underrated place to admire that only locals know, but travelers often overlook it. 

It is essentially a huge open-air space with places for eating, drinking, and soaking up the city. The Food Hall alone is worth the visit, as it has:

• fresh seafood from The Dock, 

Moreover, you’ll find spacious outdoor seating at Jaxon and a 104-foot Media Wall, and a globe. I personally love the rainbow tunnel that makes the whole place vibrant.

Bishop Arts is a hipster pocket area located just across the Trinity River from downtown. It is home to over 60 unique stores and eateries. Besides this, you’ll find pubs, coffee shops, and sweet chocolates. 

And apart from the eateries, it’s home to stunning art galleries and the quaint indie bookstore named The Wild Detective. 

But the highlight of this art district is Ame, a fine French-Indian restaurant with a champagne bar, and Paradiso, a glitzy restaurant and cocktail bar, all of which are conveniently accessible on foot. 

14. Spend an Afternoon at Dallas Farmer’s Market

I was not ready for how good this place would be. The Dallas Farmers Market is one of those fun things to do in Dallas that genuinely feeds your soul. It opens every single day right near downtown, making it easy to reach. 

The Market Shops pulled me in first. A 26,000 square foot food hall packed with artisanal vendors and regional specialties that smell absolutely incredible. The best time to visit Texas for me is when flowers bloom, and the farmer’s market is full of colors and veggie options. 

Then The Shed stopped me entirely. Locally grown fruits, fresh vegetables, and farm-raised meats. Everything felt real, fresh, and deeply Texan. If you’re planning to visit Dallas, make sure you go there. 

15. Upstairs Circus

I walked in not knowing what to expect. But I walked out with a leather wallet I made myself and the biggest smile on my face. Upstairs Circus is hands down one of the best things to do in Dallas for couples, and I cannot recommend it enough.

You sip craft cocktails while creating something real with your own hands. Jewelry, wallets, home goods, the options are genuinely exciting. The drinks are delicious, but honestly, the projects steal the show completely.

Crown Block inside Reunion Tower is pure luxury. Stunning views, elegant interiors, and a menu that covers everything beautifully:
